The Golden Gate Guild was founded in 1952 by a group of community women who were concerned about the children in the Golden Gate community. The women of the Golden Gate Guild continue today to raise funds to help support the ongoing programs of the Golden Gate Community Center. These include the Celebrate Fashion Show in the fall and a wine tasting in the summer. The Guild also provides children and families in the Golden Gate community with clothing, hygiene products and holiday gifts, and hosts a Halloween and a Spring party for families at the Center. Guild meetings are held the second Tuesday evening of the month from September through May.
